Amy Orr has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Amy began their career in the legal field, working as a Legal Intern at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates from 1990 to 1992, followed by a role as a Legal Assistant at White & Case LLP from 1992 to 1994. Amy then transitioned into education, serving as a Substitute Teacher in the Upland and Claremont Unified School Districts from 2001 to 2003. Amy later joined Foothill Country Day School as a Teacher, where they worked as a Homeroom teacher and 3rd/4th/5th grade specialist in history and geography, leading the student council and organizing historical productions from 2003 to 2012.

In 2016, Amy joined CUSD as a Communications Specialist until 2017. Amy then pursued a career in journalism, starting as a Journalist at Laguna Beach Independent from 2017 to 2019, and later transitioning to Gazette Newspapers, Inc., where they continued their work as a Journalist from 2017 to 2021.

Most recently, Amy joined Tutorfly.com as an Online Tutor and Customer Success Manager in April 2021. Amy has since been promoted to the role of Director of Educational Success at Tutorfly Holdings, Inc. in January 2022, which they currently hold.

Amy Orr began their education at Vivian Webb High School in 1982, where they studied but did not obtain a degree. Amy then attended Upland High School from 1983 to 1986, again without obtaining a degree. Following this, Amy enrolled at Georgetown University from 1986 to 1990 and earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in International Relations. In addition to their formal education, Amy obtained certification in Excel 2016 Essential Training from LinkedIn in April 2020.
