Meaghan Cuddy is an experienced Ocean Policy Analyst with the U.S. Department of State since October 2021, focusing on the ocean-climate nexus and supporting U.S. delegations at major international events, including the UNFCCC and Our Ocean Conferences. Cuddy co-drafted several key documents, such as the national Ocean Acidification Action Plan. Prior roles include Ocean Educator at the National Museum of Natural History, where responsibilities included training volunteers and facilitating marine science programs, as well as Marine Education Associate at Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium. Additional experience encompasses positions in academic program coordination, teaching various marine science courses, and sustainability education. Cuddy holds a Master of Science in Marine Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from American University, complemented by studies at the University of Cape Town.
