Jason Sonderman Uxmc

Jason Sonderman has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of user experience (UX) and design. Jason started their career at Quebecor Interactive/intellia as a Senior Designer in 1998. Jason then worked as a Sr Interaction Designer at Cobalt Group from 2000 to 2002. Later, they served as an Onsite Account Manager at Schawk Minneapolis, managing the packaging workflow for Schawk's Minneapolis Digital Prepress Division from 2002 to 2003. Subsequently, they worked as a Project Manager/Creative Lead at RR Donnelley, overseeing and directing creative work for an International Handheld game device company from 2003 to 2005.

In 2005, Jason joined VML as a Senior Art Director of Interaction, leading strategic creative thinking and managing creative resources and timelines for assigned accounts. After that, they became a Principal UX Architect & Web Developer/Partner at blue148, inc in 2003 and successfully delivered exceptional web and UI design work. During their tenure, they implemented a customizable Content Management System (CMS) to streamline workflow and improve efficiency.

From 2015 to 2017, Jason worked at Cerner Corporation as a Practice Manager, overseeing five business specialties in the eLearning space and aligning the overall business unit to increase value for clients. Jason also served as a Lead Strategist - eLearning at Cerner Corporation from 2017 to 2018, identifying opportunities to enhance the end user experience and engagement in the healthcare space.

Following their role at Cerner Corporation, Jason joined Archer Education as a UX Lead in 2018. At Archer, they collaborated and directed the creation of compelling and informative experiences for online higher ed seekers through user research, UX principles, and design thinking. Jason translated business needs into requirements for UX, design, and web development, optimized information architecture, prioritized roadmap features, and developed journey maps and wireframes. During their time at Archer, they implemented User Experience processes across the organization and developed sustainable processes for launching websites.

In 2022, Jason joined BetterCloud as the Lead Product Designer - Applications, where they served until 2023. Finally, they joined TVH as the Lead (Director) of Global UX in March 2023.

Jason Sonderman, UXMC, has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design & Printmaking from the Kansas City Art Institute. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained the UX Master Certificate from the Nielsen Norman Group in June 2022, as well as the User Experience Certification with a specialty in Interaction Design from the same institution in May 2021.
