Shankara Prasad Seetharamarao has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Shankara Prasad started their career in 1980 as a Communication Engineer in the Indian Air Force, where they worked for 20 years. After leaving the Air Force, they joined the construction industry and worked as a Project Manager and Construction Manager for various companies, including McML Systems Pvt. Ltd and SIEMENS (Invensys Rail Systems India). During this time, they managed multiple projects, handled customer interfaces, and ensured project delivery within specified timelines and budgets. In 2014, they joined Thales India Private Limited as a Project Manager, where they were responsible for managing the Train Protection and Warning System project. Most recently, in 2023, they became the Vice President STEBU at TVM Signalling and Transportation Systems Private Limited.

Shankara Prasad Seetharamarao's education history is as follows. From 1980 to 2000, they attended the Indian Air Force, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
