Guglielmo Cioni

Chief Business Development Officer at TVP Solar

Guglielmo Cioni has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Guglielmo started their career in 1996 at the ICE Italian Institute for Foreign Trade, where they held several positions including Deputy Chief in Beijing, Chief Representative in Warsaw, and Head of the EU task force in Brussels for the Italian Ministry of Environment. During their time in China, they managed a team and organized various promotional activities.

In 1999, Cioni joined the Italian Ministry for the Environment as a Program Manager for the first Italian Chinese Cooperation Program for Environment Protection. Guglielmo was responsible for a bilateral technology exchange program focusing on energy issues and renewable energy technologies in the framework of the Kyoto Protocol.

From 2002 to 2004, Cioni served as a Member of the Supervisory Council for Ecofund, a multilateral organization providing grants for environmental protection projects in Poland.

In 2008, Cioni became the General Manager of Green Initiative Carbon Assets S.A., where they led investments of €60m in clean energy projects in developing countries. Guglielmo structured deals, negotiated agreements, and maintained relationships with investors and the banking system.

In 2011, Cioni founded Eranova Climate SA, where they worked as the CEO and Founder Partner. Guglielmo provided financial advisory services in the Climate Change space and for renewable energy projects in the EU area.

Cioni also worked at AIRLIGHT ENERGY Manufacturing SA as a Senior Advisor for Business Development from 2014 to 2015.

Their most recent position was at TVP SOLAR SA, where they started as a Senior Advisor in 2014 and later became the VP of Business Development. In this role, they were responsible for developing new business models, innovation funding, and institutional relations. Guglielmo also managed relationships with large accounts and network partners.

Guglielmo Cioni obtained a Laurea degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Università di Pisa, studying from 1982 to 1987. In 2006, they pursued further education and earned a Master's degree in Finance from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.
