Kenta Ohtaki, PhD, is a Senior Characterization Engineer at Twelve since September 2021, bringing a wealth of experience in materials characterization and analysis. Prior to this role, Kenta served as a Specialist and Lab Manager at the Advanced Electron Microscopy Center and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Hawaii Institute of Geophysics and Planetology, where expertise was developed in advanced electron microscopy techniques such as FEI Titan S/TEM and FEI Helios SEM/FIB. Kenta has a strong background in failure analysis, materials characterization, and robust experience in research and education, having completed a PhD and an MS in Materials Science and Engineering at UC Irvine, where Kenta also worked as a teaching assistant and mentored undergraduate students.
