Masc. John Polena

John Polena, MASc, is a Senior Polymer Engineer at Twelve where expertise includes developing an in-house solubility algorithm, contributing to high-throughput polymer fabrication methods in collaboration with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and optimizing polymers for CO2 electrolyzers. Prior experience involves a research role at the University of Waterloo focusing on semiconducting polymers and their applications in environmental sensors. Previous positions include quality control at Canadian General Tower, project management at Whitford Worldwide, and research internships with Germiphene and Oza Inspections Ltd. John holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and Nanotechnology Engineering, respectively, from the University of Waterloo.
