Brian Kim

Brian Kim has a diverse work experience in hardware engineering and project management. Brian is currently working as a Hardware Engineering Manager at Twenty/Twenty Therapeutics since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Verily from September 2015 to April 2023, where they held the positions of Sr. Hardware Engineer and Hardware Engineer. At Verily, their role involved extensive research and development work on ophthalmic medical devices, including smart contact lens devices. Brian had experience in systems engineering, manufacturing process development, electronics integration, and materials development. Brian also had experience in managing timelines and deliverables from cross-functional stakeholder groups. Before joining Verily, they were a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Southern California from August 2010 to May 2015. Brian started their career as a Project Analyst Intern at Baxter International Inc. in June 2008.

Brian Kim completed their education in a linear trajectory, starting with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biomedical Engineering and Mathematics from Duke University in 2010. Following their undergraduate education, they pursued a Masters of Science (M.S.) degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California from 2010 to 2013. Continuing their academic journey, Brian earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2015.
