Oleg Rumyantsev began their work experience as an Intern at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering of the University at Albany in 2007. Oleg then worked as a Teacher of Experimental Physics at the Physical-Technical High School from 2007 to 2011.
Oleg's research career started in 2006 as a Research Assistant at the Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute, a role they held until 2011.
Oleg then joined Stanford University where they worked as a Research Assistant from 2011 to 2016, followed by a role as a Staff Research Scientist from 2016 to 2017.
In 2019, Oleg joined Adecco @ Verily as a Hardware Engineer and continued to work there until 2020.
Currently, Oleg is employed as a Hardware Engineer at Twenty/Twenty Therapeutics, a position they have held since September 2020.
Oleg Rumyantsev obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Applied Physics from Stanford University, where they studied from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from the University of the Russian Academy of Sciences, attending from 2009 to 2011. Furthermore, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Applied Physics at St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University in the period from 2005 to 2009.
In addition to their formal education, Oleg Rumyantsev also obtained several certifications in different fields. Oleg completed courses in Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization, and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Structuring Machine Learning Projects from Coursera. Oleg received these certifications in September and October of 2018.
