Alec Gunner

Alec Gunner has significant experience in technology and research roles, currently serving as the Interim Director of Technology at TWI since May 2002, where responsibilities include managing R&D and consultancy in various advanced materials and processes. Prior to TWI, Alec worked as a Research Scientist at Cambridge Display Technology, focusing on light-emitting polymer devices, and as a Scientist at Johnson Matthey, developing catalysts for fuel cells. Academic credentials include an Engineering Doctorate from the University of Birmingham, centered on transparent conducting coatings via sol-gel methods, and a MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
