Didrik Nielsen

Didrik Nielsen is an experienced professional in the field of machine learning and energy markets. Currently serving as the Head of Machine Learning at twig.energy since May 2023, Didrik Nielsen develops strategies for trading in power markets. Previously, Didrik Nielsen held the position of Researcher at Norsk Regnesentral, where methodologies for industrial problem-solving were developed. Didrik Nielsen’s prior roles include research assistant positions at RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project and raffle.ai, along with a summer research scientist role at Norsk Regnesentral focused on fraud detection methods. Didrik Nielsen has also gained experience as a summer intern at Norsk Hydro, developing trading strategies for energy markets, and as a summer analyst at If Insurance. Academic credentials include a PhD in Machine Learning from DTU and an MSc in Civil Engineering from NTNU, complemented by teaching assistant roles at NTNU in various subjects.
