Carlos de la Torre

Carlos de la Torre has a diverse and extensive work experience in finance and hospitality. Carlos currently holds the position of Vice President Finance at Twin Dolphin Los Cabos since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Construction Finance at Playa Hotels & Resorts from 2017 to 2021.

In 2016, Carlos served as the Director of Finance at Two Roads Hospitality, where they were responsible for financial results of a 243-acre property including a luxury hotel and a campground. Carlos also led the migration from ACCPAC accounting system to Oracle.

Before that, Carlos worked as a Controller at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts from 2013 to 2015. Carlos started their career at Deloitte as an Auditor of Construction, Hospitality and Real Estate, where they assessed internal controls and reviewed accounting information for public companies.

Carlos also gained experience at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., where they served as an SAP Project Manager and Assistant Controller. In these roles, they led the implementation of SAP accounting system for multiple companies and managed financial results for a complex consisting of a hotel, HOA, restaurant, and payroll company.

Overall, Carlos de la Torre has a strong background in finance and leadership roles in the hospitality industry, with experience in financial management, system implementation, and internal controls.

Carlos de la Torre obtained their Master's degree in Finance from Tecnológico de Monterrey, which they attended from 2015 to 2017. During the same period, they also earned another Master's degree in Lean Systems from Universidad de las Américas Puebla.
