Birol Ertekin

Birol Ertekin has a wide range of work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Birol started their career in 1996 as a Systems Administrator at EscortNet TR, one of the first Turkish ISPs. Birol then worked as a Technical Manager at Infonet TR from 1998 to 2000. In 2001, they joined Etc Networks as a Network Security Engineer until 2003 when they became a Principal Network Engineer at IGN Entertainment. From 2006 to 2008, they served as an Information Security Officer at Fox Interactive Media. In 2008, they joined Vudu - Movies & TV, where they held several positions including Sr. Manager, IT & Operations, Director of Operations (IT/infrastructure), and Sr. Director of Engineering. In 2021, they briefly worked as a Production Engineering Manager at Facebook before becoming the Director of Platform and Infrastructure at Twingate in 2022.

From 1993 to 1998, Birol Ertekin attended Boğaziçi University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
