Kishore Kakani, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the fields of enzyme and protein engineering, with extensive experience spanning over a decade in various leadership positions. Currently serving as the Director of Enzyme & Protein Engineering at Twist Bioscience since September 2022, Kishore has a strong background that includes roles such as Associate Director and Research Leader at Roche, where responsibilities involved enzyme engineering and reagent development. Previous experience includes leading the Protein Engineering Group at DuPont as a Principal Investigator, along with extensive work in directed evolution and assay development. Educational qualifications include a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Structural Biology from Stanford University, a Ph.D. in Molecular Virology from The University of British Columbia, a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry from Sri Venkateswara University.
