Angela Hession

Angela Hession is the Vice President of Trust and Safety at Twitch. Angela has over 19 years of experience in the field of gaming safety and trust, having worked at Microsoft for almost two decades. In their role as Global Head of Gaming Safety and Trust, they were responsible for driving Microsoft's Safer World Faster initiative, which focused on accelerating and creating Microsoft's Technical Roadmap, Content Moderation Strategy, Transparent Safety KPIs, Microsoft Research partnerships and Policy alignment.

Angela has been instrumental in developing product strategy, new feature safety design and development, operational excellence and process improvements, consulting on product/content policy, election integrity, child safety, anti-terrorism, and developing strategies and technology to mitigate safety issues for our customers. Angela has also developed products, programs and education to build healthy Gaming communities. Under their leadership, the team has grown to over 350K active community Ambassadors.

Angela is a highly respected figure in the gaming industry and is known for their dedication to making the gaming experience safer and more enjoyable for everyone involved.

Angela Hession has a BA in International Business/Trade/Commerce and Political Science from the University of the Pacific. Angela also has a Bachelor of Arts - BA in International Relations and Affairs from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).
