Lizi Wootton

Head of Popular Factual at Two Rivers Media

Lizi focuses on features, formats and daytime.

She joined Two Rivers from Channel 4, where she was Acting Head of Channel 4 Features and senior Commissioning Editor, Features.

Lizi has an established track record of creating, producing and delivering high-rating repeatable, returnable brands, including being the force behind some of Channel 4’s biggest features hits.

During her five years there, Wootton played a key creative role at Channel 4. She commissioned Channel 4’s highest-rating 8pm origination, Escape to the Chateau, building the series from a short commission into a major TV brand, with the daytime ‘DIY’ spin-off series delivering the highest daytime ratings in a decade. As well as launching major series like Jamie Oliver’s Superfoods and looking after big brand returners like Great Canal Journeys and Food Unwrapped, her commissions included the ratings winner My Family and the Galapagos, festive schedule stalwart What Britain Bought, and Penelope Keith’s Hidden Villages.
