Anneli Vitikainen

Principal Designer & Director, Design at twoday Finland

Anneli Vitikainen has a diverse work experience in the field of design. Anneli currently holds the position of Principal Designer & Director of Design at twoday Finland since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Design Lead at twoday Finland from October 2022 to January 2023. In this role, they were responsible for defining and developing the business area and offering, sales and customer acquisition, project and resource management, and was also a principal designer for demanding customer cases.

Before joining twoday Finland, Anneli worked as a Freelance Designer from January 2005 onwards, undertaking design assignments for numerous customers through their own website, www.whitelight.fi.

Anneli also worked as a Design Lead at Visma Consulting from January 2019 to October 2022. In this role, they were responsible for business development and leading the design team, while also serving as a principal designer for challenging customer cases.

From August 2016 to December 2018, Anneli held the position of Design Lead at OCTO3 Oy, where their key achievement was the establishment of the design business area. The company was later acquired by Visma in 2017.

Anneli started their career as a Designer at Roister Marketing in March 2003, working on concept and visual design for digital solutions and print. Anneli then worked as a User Experience Designer at Aldata from May 2000 to March 2003, specializing in UI/UX design and visual design for digital solutions.

Anneli also has experience working in education, having worked as a Designer at Saimaa University of Applied Sciences from October 2004 to August 2016. In this role, they served as a head teacher and expert in the organization's communication team, focusing on design management, concept and visual design for digital solutions and print. Anneli'skey achievement was the implementation of an organization-wide brand renewal.

Anneli Vitikainen has a diverse education history. Anneli obtained their Bachelor of Culture and Arts degree in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences in the period from 1997 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts in Information Technology and Media Design at the University of Lapland, completing their studies from 2005 to 2008. Building upon their previous degrees, Anneli continued their education at the University of Lapland and is currently working towards a Doctor of Arts degree in Information Technology and Service Design, expected to be completed between 2022 and 2025.
