Frank van Es has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Frank started their career as a Redacteur at Mahony Media Groep, where they wrote digital newspaper articles on regional news and also wrote articles on assignment. Frank then worked as a Beleidsadviseur at the Korps landelijke politiediensten, specifically in the Dienst Internationale Politiesamenwerking (IPOL). Following that, they joined the Ministerie van BZK as a Rijkstrainee/Beleidsadviseur. In 2010, they briefly served as the Secretaris Commissie Verkiezingsprogramma Provinciale Staten for the VVD. In 2008, Frank joined TwynstraGudde as a Junior, Medior, and Senior adviseur Veiligheid en Infrastructuur, focusing on safety in the mobility and infrastructure sector, with emphasis on tunnel safety, bridge and lock safety, and rail safety. Frank then took on the role of Business Manager Veiligheid en Infrastructuur and later became a Partner at TwynstraGudde, where they worked with a team of advisors on safety and asset management of infrastructure projects, specializing in project and program management, implementation guidance, and planning. In 2020, Frank also became a member of the Board of Directors of Cordence Worldwide, a global management consulting partnership.
Frank van Es has a diverse education history. Frank completed their Gymnasium degree in Economics and Society at Walburgcollege Zwijndrecht from 1996 to 2002. Frank then attended Erasmus University Rotterdam from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social History with a major in Media and Journalism. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Amsterdam from 2004 to 2005, studying International Relations. In 2005, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Relations at Utrecht University, completing it in 2006. From 2006 to 2008, they attended Leiden University to earn a Certificate in Governance and Policy. In 2010, they participated in the Masterclass VVD. Lastly, in 2011 and 2012, they were enrolled at Erasmus University Rotterdam, focusing on Public Administration under the field of study of Bestuurskunde.
