Marius Butuc

Marius Butuc has had a diverse and successful career in software engineering. Marius began their career in 2009 as a Web Developer on Customer Projects at XWiki. In 2010, they joined IBM as a Cloud Computing and Advanced Technologies Developer. In 2013, they became a Mentor at Bitmaker Labs and a Data Scientist at Influitive. In 2014, they were hired as a Software Developer / Technical Lead at Shopify, where they worked closely with the Growth and Marketing team to 10x Shopify. In 2016, they became a Software Developer in Elixir/Phoenix at Planswell. In 2019, they joined Lever as a Lead and Senior Software Engineer, leading a team of 4 to improve the security of key enterprise integration and re-establish GDPR compliance. In 2021, they became a Senior / Lead Software Engineer Consultant, supporting both customers and engineering teams by identifying the authentic client need, implementing well-tested and easily maintained solutions, and enabling collaboration within cross-functional, diverse teams. Finally, in 2022, they joined TXI as a Senior Software Developer.

Marius Butuc completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from Universitatea “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași between 2002 and 2007. Marius then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Software Engineering from the same university, which they completed in 2010. In 2009, they also obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Human Computer Interaction from Universite de Lorraine.
