Mike Mertz

Mike Mertz has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Senior Vice President of PNM Operations at PNM Resources since June 2010, where previous roles included Vice President positions overseeing New Mexico Operations, Chief Information Officer, and Treasurer. Prior to PNM Resources, Mike held managerial and project management positions in information security and risk management at Southern California Edison from March 2005 to May 2010. Mike's career began at the California Independent System Operator as an Engineering Specialist, following roles as an Applications Engineer and Field Service Engineer at Qualitrol/Hathaway Industrial Automation and Integrated Automation Solutions. Mike Mertz holds an M.S. in Information Systems with a focus on Security from Boston University and has pursued additional education at various institutions, including Caltech and the University of New Mexico.
