Shawn Cottier

Shawn Cottier has over 20 years of work experience. Shawn began their career in 2000 in the US Army as a Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer & Integrator and Signal Support System Specialist. In 2007, they moved to General Dynamics Information Technology as an Information Assurance Secuity Officer. In 2008, they joined L3 Technologies, C2S2 as a DCGS-A System Administrator - Senior Instructor / Training Developer. In 2010, they moved to CGI as a Senior Systems Engineer. In 2012, they joined Global Secure Solutions CGI (GSSC) as a Biometrics Field Service Engineer. In 2013, they moved to ManTech International Corporation as a Senior Systems Engineer (DoD PM DCGS-A Heldpesk / DCGS-A Systems Administrator) and Senior Systems Engineer (DoD PM Biometrics Arizona Helpdesk / Datacenter). In 2021, they joined TYCHON as a Technical Integration Manager.

Shawn Cottier has obtained four degrees and two certifications over the course of their education history. Shawn obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS in Electronics Technology from Cochise College between 2004 and 2010. Shawn then obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc in Cyber Security and a Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc in Electronic Systems Technology from Wayland Baptist University between 2010 and 2016. In 2017, they obtained a Master of Science - MS in Cybersecurity Management from Purdue University Global. Shawn also obtained a CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA in June 2014 and a CompTIA Server+ certification from CompTIA in May 2014.
