Mirza Husain

Mirza Husain has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to IT operations, infrastructure management, and platform services.

Mirza is currently working as the Head of Platforms and Operations at Tyl by NatWest since June 2020.

Prior to that, Mirza worked at Addison Lee Group as a Senior IT Operations Manager from April 2019 to June 2020, and as an Infrastructure Manager from July 2017 to April 2019.

Before joining Addison Lee Group, they worked at Transport for London in multiple roles including Infrastructure Manager - Hosting & Platform Services from October 2015 to July 2017, Infrastructure Services Manager in Infrastructure Maintenance from May 2013 to September 2015, Infrastructure Services Manager in Infrastructure Operations from March 2012 to May 2013, and as a Technical Team Lead in Wintel & UNIX Platforms from October 2010 to March 2012.

Mirza also gained experience at Metronet Rail as an ITIL Release Manager & Model Office Manager from July 2008 to October 2010, and as a Technical Team Lead from July 2007 to July 2008.

Earlier in their career, they worked at Transport for London as an Application Packager from December 2005 to July 2007, Cable & Wireless Communications as a Senior Oracle Developer from April 2004 to December 2005, TUI as an Oracle Programmer from August 2001 to April 2004, Logica as a Development Team Lead from June 2001 to August 2001, Oracle as an Oracle Consultant from January 1999 to June 2001, and again as an Oracle Consultant from August 1998 to December 1998.

Mirza started their career as an Oracle Consultant at Mastek UK Ltd. from May 1998 to June 2001.

Mirza Husain's education history starts in 1989 when they enrolled at the University of Lucknow. Mirza obtained a Bachelor's degree in Science (BSc) with a focus on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 1992.

After completing their Bachelor's degree, they continued their education at the same university and pursued a Master's degree in Science (MSc) in Mathematics from 1992 to 1993.

Following their Master's in Mathematics, Mirza Husain attended Agra University from 1993 to 1996 to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Applications (MCA) with a specialization in Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Mirza Husain obtained various certifications. In 2005, they obtained the PRINCE2 Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice. In 2009, they earned the ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

Between 2012 and 2013, Mirza Husain acquired multiple intermediate certifications in ITIL V3, including Service Operation, Continual Service Improvement, Service Strategy, Planning, Protection & Optimization, and Release, Control & Validation, all from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

In 2013, they further obtained the ITIL V3 Expert - Managing Across the Lifecycle (MALC) certification from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

Continuing their professional development, in 2014, Mirza Husain received the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) from the Association for Project Management. In 2015, they obtained the Agile Project Management certification from APMG International.

Their most recent certification is the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, which they obtained from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2020.
