Head of Merchant Operations at Tyl by NatWest

Steve Major has extensive work experience in the financial services industry. Steve currently serves as the Head of Merchant Operations at Tyl by NatWest since July 2021. Prior to this role, they were the Merchant Onboarding & In Life Risk Lead at the same company from August 2020 to July 2021. Before joining Tyl by NatWest, Steve worked as the Third Party Management Lead at the company from May 2019 to September 2020.

In addition to their current role, Steve has also held the position of Head of Merchant Operations at Payit™ since September 2022.

Earlier in their career, Steve worked at NatWest Group where they held multiple roles. Steve served as an Associate Director in Propositions from March 2017 to May 2019. Prior to that, they were a New Markets Proposition Manager from November 2014 to February 2017. Steve also worked as a Project Lead/ Lead Business Analyst from August 2013 to November 2014 and as a Change Analyst from November 2010 to July 2013.

Before joining NatWest Group, Steve gained marketing experience at RBS Insurance during a one-year paid work placement as part of their degree. Steve worked on various brands such as Churchill, Direct Line, Privilege, and Green Flag, focusing on direct mail and press adverts from September 2008 to September 2009.

Steve Major attended Imberhorne from 2004 to 2006, where they completed their A Levels in Business & Economics, Sociology, and History. Afterward, they pursued further education at Solent University from 2006 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Business Studies.
