Sheri Barberee-Taylor

Sheri Barberee-Taylor has over 23 years of experience in the education field. Sheri began their career as an Elementary School Teacher in Cedar Hill ISD from 1997 to 1998, followed by a brief stint in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD in 1998. In 1999, they joined Northeast ISD as an Elementary School Teacher until 2001. From 2001 to 2003, they worked as an Elementary School Teacher in Northside ISD. Sheri then moved on to Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD, where they served as an Elementary School Teacher from 2003 to 2007 and as a School Principal from 2007 to 2016. In 2016, they joined Tyler ISD as a School Principal until June 2020, when they were promoted to Executive Director of Human Resources.

Sheri Barberee-Taylor holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Texas Christian University. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from Angelo State University. Sheri also attended Tarleton State University for Elementary Education and Teaching.
