Heather Birch

Heather Birch serves as an Associate Professor of Education and Director of the Bachelor of Education Program at Tyndale University since July 2018. Birch also contributes as a Part-Time Sessional Lecturer and Researcher at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto, focusing on Arts Pedagogy and Educational Technology. With extensive teaching experience at various educational institutions, including roles at Brock University, Niagara Academy of Sports, and multiple school boards, Birch has developed a strong background in teacher education and curriculum development. Birch holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, as well as multiple degrees in Education, Educational Technology, Philosophy, and Religious Studies. Additionally, Birch has taught private piano and theory lessons since 1990.
