Dimitris Kladis

Dimitris Kladis has a diverse work experience. Dimitris is currently working as a Frontend Developer at tyntec since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Frontend Engineer at MarineTraffic from January 2021 to August 2022. In this role, Dimitris led various projects involving the design and implementation of applications that consume data from Restful APIs and provide real-time data from Apache Kafka topics.

Before MarineTraffic, Dimitris worked as a Full Stack Web Developer at Domiki S.A from June 2018 to January 2021. Dimitris played a key role in developing e-domisis. gr, a geospatial web platform for urban planning. This application utilized a three-tier architecture with technologies such as OpenLayers API, Apache HTTP Server, GeoServer, and PostgreSQL with PostGIS extension.

Earlier in their career, Dimitris worked as a GIS Analyst & Research Assistant at IERSD, National Observatory of Athens in 2014. Dimitris'sresponsibilities included recording night light emissions using professional photoelectric photometers and conducting statistical analysis and modeling using Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing techniques.

Prior to that, Dimitris worked as a GIS Analyst at HERE Technologies in 2013. Dimitris'swork involved field data collection using portable PDAs and ArcPad mobile software in different municipalities.

Overall, Dimitris has gained expertise in frontend development, geospatial web platforms, GIS analysis, and remote sensing techniques throughout their career.

Dimitris Kladis completed their Bachelor's degree in Geography at Harokopio University of Athens from 2010 to 2014. In 2014, they pursued their further education and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Geoinformatics from the National Technical University of Athens, which they completed in 2016.
