Charlie Baynes-Reid

Charlie Baynes-Reid serves as the General Counsel and CFO of Type One Energy Group since September 2023, where the focus lies on commercializing the stellarator fusion power system with an emphasis on a people-centered clean energy transition. In addition, Baynes-Reid is a Board Member at PRIME AE Group, Inc., a rapidly growing architecture and engineering firm, and the Founder and General Counsel of NewHold Enterprises, a holding company aimed at stable growth in North American middle market industries. Previous roles include Chairman of Macro Energy, Chief Operating Officer at NewHold Investment Corporation, Co-Founder and Investment Committee Member at River Hollow Partners, and Senior Vice President at Macquarie Capital, alongside early legal positions at MinterEllison and Simmons & Simmons. Baynes-Reid holds an LPC from the College of Law, London and an LLB in Business Law from City, University of London.
