Bjarki Holm

Bjarki Holm is an accomplished entrepreneur and engineering leader, currently serving as the Founder of Typeset since January 2020, a design automation tool integrated with AI for generating various digital content. Prior to this, Bjarki held the position of VP of Engineering at Lucidworks from May 2017 to December 2019, where leadership was provided for innovative product development and management of a team of 20 engineers. As a co-founder of Twigkit, engagement spanned from December 2012 to May 2017, serving as engineering lead and board member until the company’s acquisition by Lucidworks. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Research Associate and College Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, focused on computational complexity and teaching a range of computer science subjects. Early career experiences also encompass senior software architecture at VYRE, research assistance at the University of Iceland, and software engineering at deCODE genetics and VYRE. Bjarki Holm holds a PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as advanced and undergraduate degrees from the University of Cambridge and Háskóli Íslands, respectively.
