MLOps Engineer at Typewise

Alex Shershebnev has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of computer vision, machine learning operations (MLOps), and bioinformatics. Alex is currently working as a freelance AI engineer, where they have been involved in various projects related to computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), and MLOps. Some of their notable achievements include setting up an EKS cluster for distributed training, developing CLI-tools for data scientists, and productionizing generative models.

Prior to their freelance work, Alex worked as a Senior AI Engineer at Silo AI from 2021 to 2022. Alex also held positions at MTS AI, where they served as the MLOps Team Lead and later as the Head of CV. In these roles, they led multiple teams and mentored junior members, while also interacting with clients.

Alex has also gained experience as a Senior Data Scientist at Silvere, a Research Fellow and Senior Bioinformatician at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Bioinformatician at Genotek and the Vavilov Institute of General Genetics.
