Julio Grande Flórez

Julio Grande is a senior director at TYPSA and has been a significant player in the growth of the firm.

His early success began at University, where he excelled academically at the Polytechnic University of Madrid School of Civil Engineering, graduating in 1981. He continued his studies to gain a place in the Madrid Regional Government Senior Civil Service Engineers and Architects Corps in 1987, and later rounded off his capabilities by completing the Senior Management Program (PADE) at IESE Business School. Julio has worked closely with key construction companies as well as government institutions, his diverse career path having ranged from FCC Construction, where he was Head of Project Supervision, to the public sector with the Madrid Regional Government and TRASAGUA. Julio was Deputy Technical Director for this company created specifically for the design, construction and operation of the Ebro River water transfer. During his time at TYPSA, Julio has held several key managerial posts, including Managing Director of Operations and HR. In this role, he was in charge of coordinating operations in the regional offices and sister companies, leading a team of more than two hundred people based at the head office. He was also fully responsible for Tecnofisil, the TYPSA subsidiary in Portugal. He was also Executive Director of the CEO’s office with overall responsibility for Global Services and Territorial Management. Currently he is CEO.
