Jason Hooker

Jason Hooker is a seasoned technical professional with extensive experience in engineering and technical leadership roles. Currently serving as Technical Lead at Tyro Payments since October 2022, Jason previously held the position of Principal Engineer at Atlassian from August 2019 to September 2022. Earlier roles include Technical Lead at Tyro Payments, Solutions Architect at Frame Group Ltd, and Senior Java Software Developer at Flight Centre Technology. Jason's career began in 1999 as a Systems Architect at Reveal Ltd, followed by various technical positions aimed at enhancing information systems and software development. Jason holds a Bachelor of Business in Management and Information Systems & Technology and a Diploma in Information Systems and Technology for Business, both from The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, along with a NZCE in Electronics and Computer Technology from Auckland University of Technology.
