Lorraine Tam

Lorraine Tam, Ph.D., CFS, is an accomplished professional in the food science sector with extensive experience in meat science and quality systems. Currently serving as a Member at Large for the Ozark IFT Section and as Associate Director of Technical Services at Tyson Foods, Lorraine has held several leadership roles, including Senior Manager of FSQA Technical Services and Director of Emerging Technologies at Hillshire Brands. Previous positions include significant contributions at Griffith Laboratories, where various director roles were held, and academic appointments at Purdue University and RMIT University, focusing on food and meat science. Lorraine obtained a Ph.D. and MS from Purdue University, complemented by a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honors) from RMIT University.
