Alistair Hume

Alistair Hume has over 16 years of work experience in various roles and companies. Alistair is currently the Co-Founder of u impact | impact4good GmbH, a FinTech start-up focused on impact investing. Prior to that, they worked at HSBC as a Project Manager handling Basel III Reforms. Alistair also worked at Barclays as a Project Manager and as a CCO Product Governance. Earlier in their career, they held positions at HSBC as a Capital Control Analysis Manager and at AxiomSL as a Senior Regulatory Analyst. Alistair also worked at Barclays Investment Bank as the VP Strategic Development, overseeing multiple risk streams. Alistair began their career at Goldman Sachs as a Regulatory Reporting Analyst and also has experience in accounting roles at Shed Media Group and Ricochet TV.

Alistair Hume's education history begins with their enrollment at Christ's College Cristchurch from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained an "A" bursary. Alistair then went on to attend the University of Canterbury from 1993 to 1996, earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and HR Management.

In 2001, Alistair became a Provisional Member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Alistair furthered their education by qualifying as an Accountant ACMA from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 2007. Later in 2011, they achieved the status of Qualified Practitioner in Prince II - Project Management.

In terms of additional certifications, Alistair obtained a Certificate in Green and Sustainable Finance from The Chartered Banker Institute in November 2021. Prior to that, in August 2020, they completed the Principles of Sustainable Finance program offered by the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
