Tanner Mastaw

Tanner Mastaw is an experienced professional in public engagement and strategic communication, currently serving as the Press and Strategic Engagement Lead for the Bureau for Asia at USAID since June 2024. Previously, Mastaw held various leadership roles, including Public Engagement Lead for the USAID Asia Bureau at ZemiTek, and Chief Strategy Officer at Ramsey Research Foundation. With a strong background in congressional affairs, Mastaw has worked as a Congressional Affairs Specialist at Dexis Consulting Group and as a Confidential Assistant and Special Assistant at USAID. Early career experiences include roles as a District Field Representative and Field Representative for U.S. Congressmen Mike Gallagher and Reid Ribble, respectively, focusing on legislative priorities for over 720,000 constituents. Mastaw’s early work as a Public Achievement Coach involved developing community engagement programs for high school students, complemented by teaching experience with adult learners in foundational subjects. Tanner Mastaw holds a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies and Public Policy from the University of Denver.
