Robert I. Miller

Surgeon General at U.S. Air Force

Robert I. Miller is the current Surgeon General at U.S. Air Force. Prior to this, they served as Command Surgeon at UNITED STATES AFRICA COMMAND from January 2010 to June 2012, where they were responsible for primary health advising to CDR USAFRICOM on medical-related strategy, policy, training, infrastructure & engagement. Robert also served as Command Surgeon at HQ Air Education & Training Command from June 2012 to September 2014, where they were responsible for a staff of 61 personnel, providing strategic planning policy, assessment and resources for AETC’s 13 medical units.

Robert I. Miller reports to David W. Allvin, Vice Chief of Staff. They are on a team with Randall E. Kitchens - Deputy Chief of Chaplains, Jeannie M. Leavitt - Safety (AF/SE), and David S. Nahom - Deputy Chief of Plans and Programs.
