David Hilling

Chief Of Future Operations at U.S. Army North (5th Army)

David Hilling has extensive work experience in the U.S. Army, starting in 2006 with roles such as Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer in the 101st Airborne Division. David then served as a Ranger Instructor at the United States Army Ranger School from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Stryker Company Commander in the 3rd Cavalry Regiment. Subsequently, they worked as a Tactical Officer and Instructor at the United States Military Academy at West Point from 2014 to 2016. David then served as Battalion Operations Officer and Brigade Executive Officer in the 10th Mountain Division from 2017 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Chief of Future Operations at U.S. Army North (5th Army) starting in 2020.

David Hilling has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, which they obtained between the years 2001 and 2005. In 2013, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. From 2019 to 2020, David completed their second Master of Arts (MA) degree in Military Operations at the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS). In addition to their degrees, David also holds certifications including the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from the Project Management Institute, obtained in November 2022, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, also from the Project Management Institute, obtained in February 2022.
