Mary L.

Mary L. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mary currently works as a Census Academy Lead and Program Analyst at the U.S. Census Bureau, where they contribute to program development and maintenance of a public-facing training program. Mary is involved in strategic planning, evaluation, instructional design, and content development.

Prior to their current role, Mary was a self-employed Health and Wellness Practitioner, specializing in various modalities such as Myogfascial, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy, and more. Mary developed treatment plans in partnership with other medical professionals, stayed updated on state regulations, and maintained continuous improvement in their skills.

Mary also served as a Fitness and Yoga Instructor at The Y in Central Maryland where they instructed yoga classes and created specialized practices for individual participants. Additionally, they have experience in digital marketing and innovation as a Program Analyst at the U.S. Census Bureau and in pedagogy and teaching through an internship at UMBC Training Centers. Mary has also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Anne Arundel Community College and College of Southern Maryland, where they trained and implemented Blackboard LMS and taught continuing education courses with high ratings and student pass rates exceeding national standards.

Mary L. earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Towson University in 2004. Mary then pursued further education at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where they obtained a Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Instructional Systems Design in 2016. From 2016 to 2019, they completed a Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the same university. Additionally, Mary has obtained several certifications, including a certification as a Personal and Professional Coach from The Coaching and Positive Psychology (CaPP) Institute, and various digital marketing certifications from LinkedIn and HubSpot Academy. Mary also completed a certification in Workshop Facilitation from LinkedIn in 2019.
