Michael Wessel

Michael Wessel is an experienced professional with a diverse background in strategic development and policymaking. As the owner of The Wessel Group Inc. since May 2006, Michael has worked with labor, business, and non-profit clients to implement effective strategies. Serving as a Commissioner for the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission and previously for the Federal Trade Deficit Review Commission, Michael has been actively involved in legislative analysis and economic issues. In roles at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and the Alliance for American Manufacturing, Michael has focused on promoting manufacturing production and job creation in the United States. Michael's extensive experience in public service includes serving as General Counsel to House Democratic Leader Richard Gephardt and directing national issues for Gephardt's presidential campaign. Michael holds a degree in Political Science and Government, and a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University.
