Dan Reed

Dan Reed is a seasoned marine inspector with over two decades of experience in the U.S. Coast Guard, currently serving as a Senior Marine Inspector and Chief Warrant Officer at the U.S. Coast Guard Sector San Francisco. Reed's extensive expertise includes roles as a Machinery Inspector, Dry Dock Inspector, and various other inspection positions across multiple Coast Guard sectors. Previous responsibilities included serving as Vice President of the SOCAL Chief Warrant Officers Association and working in project management for depot-level maintenance. Additionally, during earlier assignments, Reed held positions such as Chief Engineer and Deployment Team Leader for international training. Educational background includes studies at Florida Keys Community College and Portland Community College. Prior to joining the Coast Guard, Reed worked as an Order Manager at Airgas.
