Justin Kimura

Justin Kimura serves as a Domestic Icebreaking Program Analyst for the U.S. Coast Guard since March 2022, overseeing the national Domestic Icebreaking Mission across key regions. Prior experience includes Assistant Director of Mobile GR for the City of Grand Rapids, where responsibilities encompassed safe and equitable transportation for the city. From 1998 to July 2020, Kimura held various leadership positions within the U.S. Coast Guard, including National Program Manager for the Office of Navigation Systems, Commanding Officer of multiple cutters, and roles in maritime security and training. Academic qualifications include a Master of Military Studies from Marine Corps University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
