Frank Fisanich

Frank Fisanich serves as the Chief Counsel for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission since May 2010, focusing on the Division of Swap Dealer and Intermediary Oversight. Prior to this role, Frank held the position of Assistant General Counsel and Vice President at Bank of America from April 2003 to April 2009, where responsibilities included advising on capital markets activities in the Asia-Pacific region. Frank's legal career began as an Associate at Reed Smith LLP (January 1999 - January 2001), concentrating on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance, followed by a role at Jones Day (January 2001 - January 2003) specializing in foreign direct investment and joint ventures. Frank earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law between 1996 and 1999.
