Jose Martinez-Lopez is currently a CBPO at U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Prior to this, they worked as a Park Ranger for the City of Miami Beach from November 2018 to May 2019. Jose has also served as a Marine Science Technician/Reserves for the U.S. Coast Guard from June 2014 to December 2019.
Jose Martinez-Lopez has a long history of working in public service. Jose began their career as a Park Ranger for the City of Miami Beach. In this role, they were responsible for the safety of personnel and the efficiency of the unit’s mission. Jose also inspected and distributed safety personal protection equipment, prepared and cataloged records of the unit’s work and mission, and mentored and educated colleagues on the policies and required knowledge of the unit.
Jose Martinez-Lopez is a skilled communicator and navigator, which has assisted senior personnel in the safe and adequate navigation of government assets. Jose is also proficient in Spanish, which has helped him communicate with colleagues and the public while working in their current role as a CBPO at U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Jose Martinez-Lopez has an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Miami Dade College.
