Farah Ahmad is a Program Analyst at the USDA since July 2023, bringing extensive experience in food security and program development. Previously, Farah served as a MEL and Program Specialist at Mercy Corps, where responsibilities included supporting the McGovern-Dole Food, Education, and Child Nutrition Program in Uzbekistan and collaborating with the US Policy and Advocacy team on food security initiatives. Additional roles include Mickey Leland International Hunger Fellow at the Congressional Hunger Center, Community Impact Programs and Operations Coordinator at United Way of Western CT, and Development Database Administrator at Project Bread. Farah's early career featured positions such as Food is Medicine State Plan Policy Fellow at Community Servings and Community Engagement Coordinator at Rise Against Hunger. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Food and Nutrition Policy and Programs from Tufts University and a Master of Public Health from Tufts University School of Medicine, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from UMass Boston.
