Shilpita Das is an accomplished policy manager with extensive experience in research and implementation of public policies across various sectors. Currently serving at Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy since March 2021, Shilpita focuses on metropolitan economy analysis and urban agriculture integration in smart city development. Previous roles include researcher at Global Policy Insights, where Shilpita coordinated with UK parliamentarians on digital governance and AI policy, and policy manager at Newschecker.in, addressing critical issues like hate speech and counter-terrorism. With a background at Facebook as a Policy & Quality Lead, Shilpita successfully managed global community operation projects. Educational qualifications include an MA in Governance Development and Public Policy from the Institute of Development Studies, an MBA in Agribusiness & Plantation Management, and a BSc in Agriculture.
