Qais Roshan

Qais Roshan currently serves as the Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs at the Bureau of Industry and Security within the U.S. Department of Commerce, a position held since March 2023. Prior experience includes the role of Counsel for the United States House Committee on Foreign Affairs from August 2021 to January 2023, and various legislative positions in the U.S. House of Representatives, including Legislative Counsel for Congresswoman Kathy Manning, Senior Legislative Assistant for Congressman Joe P. Kennedy, III, Legislative Aide for Congresswoman Joyce Beatty, and an internship with Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer. Qais Roshan earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from American University Washington College of Law and a degree in English from the University of Maryland.
