Christian Placencia

Christian Placencia is a seasoned professional in energy program management with extensive experience in both federal and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving in the U.S. Department of Energy as part of the State and Community Energy Programs, Christian oversees compliance for federal programs with a combined funding of over $8 billion, enhances program guidance through collaboration with experts, and fosters partnerships across states and territories. Prior experience includes leading innovative initiatives at the District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility and providing oversight as a board member for Andromeda Transcultural Health. Christian's academic credentials include master's degrees in International Affairs and Natural Resource Management from American University and the United Nations-mandated University for Peace, along with a bachelor's in Environmental Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
