Christine Knapp

Christine Knapp is an experienced professional in community innovation and sustainability management with a notable background in both governmental and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as the Community Innovation and Technical Assistance Program Manager at the U.S. Department of Energy since September 2022, Christine has previously held significant roles including Director of the Office of Sustainability for the City of Philadelphia and Deputy Chief of Staff, Director of Government Affairs at the Philadelphia Water Department. Christine also contributed to energy efficiency initiatives as the Manager of Public and Client Relations at the Energy Efficient Buildings Hub, aimed at reducing energy use in Philadelphia's commercial buildings. Earlier in career, Christine directed advocacy efforts at PennFuture and organized programs for Clean Water Action. Christine holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Communications from Villanova University.
