Jess Sanchez

Jess Sanchez is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in international law and national security. Currently serving as Managing CFIUS Counsel and Senior Counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury since February 2020, Jess provides expert counsel on legal, regulatory, and policy matters affecting international financial markets. Prior roles include Associate Director for CFIUS Operations and International Engagement at the United States Department of Defense and Senior Legal Advisor at ByteCubed, where strategic legal support was offered to the DoD regarding foreign investment. Jess has a strong background in cybersecurity and infrastructure protection from a tenure as Special Assistant at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, as well as experience in litigation support at Williams and Connolly LLP. Educated with advanced degrees in law from The George Washington University and Florida State University, along with international law studies at the University of Oxford, Jess has demonstrated a commitment to advancing national security interests through legal expertise and leadership.
