Verónica Soto, FAICP, currently serves as the Director of the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds Program and Local Assistance and Tribal Consistency Fund at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, overseeing $46.55 billion in pandemic recovery funding. Previously, Soto was the Director of the Neighborhood and Housing Services Department in San Antonio, managing a $100 million budget and numerous federal grant programs. Other roles include Director of the Community and Human Development Department in El Paso, Executive Director of the El Paso Downtown Management District, and positions in city planning and redevelopment across multiple municipalities. Soto holds a Master of Public Administration from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Harvard University.
