Darren S.

Darren S. currently serves as a Social Worker and Readjustment Therapist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' VHA Vet Center since March 2024. Previously, Darren held the position of PACT Medical Social Work Intern at the same organization from January to December 2023. Prior experience includes working as a Behavioral Health Facilitator with WellSpace Health, where responsibilities included facilitating the Sacramento Sheriff's Reentry Power Program and providing counseling for outpatient and inpatient substance use disorders, as well as suicide and crisis intervention. Darren's foundational experience in the U.S. Army as a Direct Infantryman involved ground tactical counter-drug operations from October 2012 to January 2017. Academic achievements include a Doctorate in Health Science and a Master of Social Work from the University of the Pacific, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University-Sacramento and an Associate of Arts from Folsom Lake College.
